McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc. is the latest addition to a recycling family that has spanned more than three generations. Beginning in 1954, Gene McCoy founded McCoy Salvage in the southeast Missouri town of Caruthersville.

In 1990, Gene's son Mike McCoy continued the family tradition by opening McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., in Springfield, Missouri. With the hard work and dedication of his three children, Michael, Greg and Kim, Mike and Sharon have been able to expand McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., into the largest family-owned and operated metal recycling center in southwestern Missouri.

Now, nearly 25 years after Mike began, McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., has expanded to a force of over 30 employees with equipment designed to process material on-site as well as at industrial locations. With a fleet of semis, cranes, portable bailers and industrial containers, McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., offers recycling opportunities for every type of customer.
