The First tea room in Bellaire, TX ain't your grandmas tea room! You won't see doilies, lace or flowered wallpaper. McHughTea is a family owned and operated business featuring local foods, family recipes, local art, tea and cooking classes in the 'Green Room" with custom chandelier, copper bar and chrome tea canisters with many other decorative surprises. The tea bar holds over 50 organic teas and a VIP cup section for our wonderful "tea peeps" we love so much. Kim McHugh is the coowner of this unique establishment and she is currently the only Certified Tea Blending Master in the state of Texas. The "Kitchen Queen" is Kim's mother, Billie Stafford and she has THE team of ladies in the kitchen producing delicious, one of a kind dishes, daily.

Homemade Lunch (we're talking from scratch, folks) is 6 days a week. Monday - Saturday, 9am-5pm. IF you want take-out for your office, please call ahead. We're happy to provide a delicious "homemade" meal for you and we DO cater!

AFTERNOON TEA, sometimes referred to as "High Tea" in the states, is offered for only $30 per person (minimum of 2 people) which includes up to 3 large pots of organic tea, an assortment of delicious tea sandwiches and warm scones with clotted cream and homemade jams and let's not forget the delicate desserts presented on a beautiful, tiered serving tray covered in fairy dust! The lovely "Green Room" or "Hollywood Room" as it's sometimes referred to, is perfect for a baby shower, bridal shower, Afternoon Tea or other Private Celebration. This lovely PRIVATE PARTY ROOM seats up to 24 guests comfortably and includes a flat screen TV that can be used for slide show presentations, music, DVD's or business meetings.
