Medicine Horse Ranch is located on the Thornton Dairy, a thousand acre fifth generation working ranch. The land was founded in the 1800's, and remains one of Marin County's premiere cattle and sheep ranches.
We incorporate horses into a wide range of self development programs. Horses guide the important transformative interactions that challenge, inspire, balance, engage and integrate the human mind, body and spirit. Powerful interactions with the horse encourages growth and change which extends far beyond the ranch.
Medicine Horse Ranch Certificate courses are offered to participants seeking to incorporate horses into professional applications.
Our Adventure in Awareness™ modules ( taught by Barbara K. Rector MA, CEIP-ED) prepare participants for the CBEIP exam, which certifies educators and mental health professionals.
Equine Guided Education programs are offered for adults, adolescents and youth at risk. We offer numerous workshops for men and women healing from cancer, depression, addiction, loss and grief, and other scenerios involving life's complex transistions. Our programs can also be customed designed to include teambuilding, leadership, business planning/coaching (including equine guided financial recovery)
