I am a photographer located in Meeteetse, Wyoming. I enjoy all types of photography, scenery, wildlife, event photography, portraiture, still life.
The name Meeteetse comes from an Indian word meaning
"Meeting Place" or "Where the Chiefs Meet"
Meeteetse is one of the oldest settlements in the Big Horn Basin
And was once the largest town in Park County
The last known population of Black Footed Ferrets were discovered in Meeteetse in 1981
Today, Meeteetse, Wyoming
Once home to Outlaws and Indians
Retains much of the character it had in the 1900's
And remains a ranching community
With a population of 327 people
Located at the base of the Absaroka Mountains
Sitting at 5751 feet in elevation
This little community has remained true to its western heritage
