Mekong Cafe, named after the Mekong river; one of the great rivers in Asia that flows from China and down to Vietnam, passing through Laos and Thailand.
Here at Mekong Cafe we have proudly been serving authentic Laos, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine to the Washington Heights since 2008. Our restaurant is family-owned and operated and as such we welcome you and your family to enjoy your dining experience with us.
Along with some of the 3 cuisines classics, our menu features a handful of original and unique dishes created and perfected over the years by our mom, Banh. With assistant of her daughter Sichanh and her energetic team are proud to be able to craft some fresh, new dishes such as; curry egg roll, Bangkok noodle, and family recipe Grandma's Chantha's Special sausage.
Since the day we opened we have strived for quality and consistency. Our freshly prepared dishes are highlighted by ingredients imported from Thailand and can be cooked to suit a variety of diets including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Whether you like it spicy hot or not, you are bound to find a favorite.
We hope you enjoy your meal as much as we will enjoy serving you. Thank you for being a part of our family over the years
