Memory Bears & Friends

When my dear friend, Pinki passed away on hospice care, the agency made me a bear from one of her favorite shirts. 5 years later, when my Mom passed away, I remembered how much the memory bear meant to me, and I gathered some of my Mom's favorite articles of clothing, called my friend Linda who is a master seamstress, and made Memory Bears for my children and some of my Moms closest friends. When other people saw the bears, they asked if they gave me an article of clothing, could we make a Bear for them. So began this wonderful journey of Linda and I to create " Memory Bears and Friends."

Each bear is hand crafted, using articles of clothing of your loved one who has passed. Each one is uniquely and lovingly created to capture their essence and provide a keepsake that can be handed down for generations

The Memory Bears, can be designed to your specifications, and can reflect a special interest or profession of that special person. We can make clothing to enhance your bear, and some of our "Friends of Bears" are Cats, Dogs, Elephants, and Hippos if you want something different.

One year after my 96 year old Mom died, my son's love , Karen, at age 37 was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She was so anxious and upset about the upcoming chemotherapy, I thought wouldn't it be nice to make a bear for her, with cuddly soft white fleece with a pink sparkly dress, hat and shoes, and fill it with the calming fragrance of Lavender. So, the newest member of our family the "KARE BEAR" was born. Each one is hand made and embroidered with the name of the special woman in your life who is under going treatment for Breast Cancer.

Since we first started, our little family has grown to include Bears, Cats, Dogs, Elephants, and Rabbits for all occasions. If you can dream it we can make it.
