Memphis Japanese Corner Private Tutoring

We are local Memphis-area Japanese tutors who offer a series of group, private, and Skype Japanese language/culture tutoring classes that can either serve as a full stand-alone course in Japanese or a supplement to advance students in a current high school/college-level course. Our classes are designed to teach students both Japanese language/culture and to allow them the chance to interact with Japanese people as well as experience Japan and its culture first-hand. We have been helping students learn Japanese since 2008.

Designed for students grades 6 and up, college students, and adults, we offer a full flexible Japanese learning course to help you achieve your goals with the language. Even if you already know some Japanese the series of classes we offer are sure to meet your needs because we work with your goals and build on your current Japanese ability. Classes are also designed to offer a safe, fun environment to learn in. We have helped numerous students over the years to learn the Japanese language, with many of them performing at or above college level. In 2012 we even took our high school senior class on a 3 week trip to Japan!

With the recent drop of many Japanese programs among schools in Memphis and the high cost of college courses or traditional/online tutors, we are poised to provide you with the most affordable, flexible and personal way to learn Japanese in Memphis. Plus, the courses we teach (which we adjust to your needs) use the same materials that the courses you would spend thousands on at a local university take you through. Each of our tutors has spent several years studying Japanese, have personally been to Japan as well as completed 3-4 years of college Japanese; graduating with either a BA of Japanese language/linguistics or a minor in the same.

We take care with every student to ensure they are truly learning the language and assist them in achieving their goals, whether it is to learn for fun, for high school credit, to assist with a full course, or to help to be able to go to Japan speaking conversational Japanese.
