Mendocino Center for Circus Arts (CircusMecca)

We focus on high-level circus acts such as aerial silks, aerial hoop, straps, trapeze, and aerial rope, but also do tumbling, juggling, Chinese pole, acrobatics, and dance work. We have ten professional-level aerialists, eight instructors, and over 100 students in the Fort Bragg, Mendocino, Anderson Valley, and Ukiah areas. CircusMecca is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Performance
We put on an amazing show—our performers love what they do, and it shows. We have incredible aerialists performing on silks, hoop, trapeze, straps, and rope, and our youth troupe is one of the best in the country. Come to one of our shows and see for yourself!

Classes
Our classes are a fun and exciting way to develop self confidence, strength, endurance, agility, rhythm, grace, poise, and perseverance. We teach six days a week, with classes in Mendocino, Fort Bragg, Anderson Valley, and Ukiah. We instruct at all levels, from absolute beginners to some of the best students in the country.

Safety
Safety is always foremost in everything we do. All our aerial equipment and rigging is inspected every time it is used and is load rated at a minimum of 2000 lbs. Our students and performers can always be confident that their equipment will hold them for even the most demanding tricks and routines. All instruction and performance is done over safety mats, except when we are performing over water. Our instructors' number one focus is safety, and no one is allowed to perform until they have completed at least three levels of instruction, which typically takes a minimum of a year. Each student must also be checked out by the lead instructor for their apparatus and the president of the board. We carry professional circus instruction and performance insurance and have never had any injury more serious than abrasions, bumps, bruises, and strains.
