The vision of Mercy Tree Cowboy Fellowship is to meet folks right where they are with the gospel of Jesus Christ so the transforming power of His death, burial, and resurrection can change even the most broken lives.

The Mission of Mercy Tree Cowboy Fellowship is to leverage our love of cowboy culture in a way that always points to the salvation Jesus Christ offers freely, so that the world will be saved through Him.

Core Values:

1. Prayer - Prayer is the essential responsibility of every believer. Without prayer, all our efforts come to nothing. With prayer, all things are possible. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Evangelism - Lost people matter to God. He has chosen us, the church, to be the bearers of the Good News of His great salvation. (Luke 19:10)

3. Discipleship - The teaching, training, and equipping of others is one of the essential callings of every believer. It is the basic ministry of all followers of Christ. (2 Timothy 2:2)

4. Hospitality - Because Jesus died for all, we welcome everyone just as they are. We must remove all barriers to God's mercy and grace. (2 Corinthians 5:11-21)

5. Changed Lives - Jesus changes people. We can't have a real encounter with Him and stay the same, so we are determined to meet the real Jesus in everything we do. (Romans 6:4)


Why a Cowboy Church?

Americans, particularly those of us from the South and the West, grow up wanting to be cowboys. Sure, not all of us have this dream, but a lot of us do. There is something about the cowboy and his lifestyle that draw us. Maybe it’s his courage. Maybe it’s his loyalty. Maybe it’s his integrity and honesty. Maybe it’s all of those qualities, and more. The code a cowboy lives by speaks to a place in us all. After all, we were created by a God who embodies those same attributes.

See, God has created us all in His image, so it is only natural that we want to be like Him, even when we don’t know it. And because cowboys strive to live up to this set of ideals, they appeal to us. They make us want to be better…more. And that is “Why a Cowboy Church." We believe that those same values that all of us aspire to, those values that the cowboy lives, those values that are God’s very nature, open the door to many in our community so the Gospel can be heard.

Mercy Tree Cowboy Fellowship is a church committed to leveraging our shared love of the cowboy and Western heritage for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything, from our branding to our music and our events, will be focused on that one goal: sharing the Good News of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection through our love of the cowboy way.
