Hi, My name is Miranda Gonder, formally Miranda Fridolfson. I started MF FOTO as a part time hobby a few years before I met my better half, Shay Gonder. With Shay’s encouragement and support I turned my passion and love for photography into a full time career in the late summer of 2010.

Before becoming a full time photographer, I worked as a graphic assistant at Hy-Capacity in Humboldt, IA for two years. While working at Hy-Capacity I took art, photography and business courses at Iowa Central Community Collage.

In the spring of 2010 Shay and I took a trip to California and trained with an extremely talented fashion photographer, Shaun Alexander. Shaun has shot for Guess, Paul Mitchell, BeBe and Vogue just to name a few. I felt honored to share in his talents and learn from his many years of experience in the fashion and photography world. We even got to have Shaun photograph our own wedding in September 2010.

After being happily married for almost 2 years Shay and I welcomed our daughter, Mirae Grace into the world. Mirae has become our pride and joy. We are very proud parents! We have a beauiful daughter and my own personal little model. Photographing Mirae is my most treasured hobby.

The weekends out of the year that aren't spend making memories with our daughter - Shay and I are working as a husband and wife duo for our wedding and engagement photography. Not long ago, Shay and I were celebrating a wedding of our own - we know how important it is to capture every moment, light it beautifully and turn ordinary photographs into artwork you will cherish forever. Shay helps with the lighting and makes sure to pay attention to every detail. During weddings he is the second shooter and my partner throughout the entire day. We make every wedding and engagement session unique and always try to go above and beyond the couple’s expectations.

I take pride in the photographs that I create; making sure every session is as unique and enjoyable as possible. I hope I get the chance to share my passion for photography with you and your family. I look forward to hearing from you, soon.
