MH Event Productions & Consulting

Melissa started out her career in the fashion industry 12 years ago in Minneapolis. It all began just by working in a department store which then bloomed into planning store events and styling. She quickly learned that she had to pursue styling and event planning. She loved the way she could be creative and bring something new to the community. After moving to Phoenix on a whim at the age of 20, that is when she did her first big fashion show in Scottsdale.

She wanted to learn more, so she ventured into the bridal industry where she was a prsonal stylist and event producer for bridal shows. Along with that, she had to learn even more about event marketing and PR, which of course she still continues to do today for her own events as well as for clients.

After being in Phoenix for a few years, she moved to Miami which is where she fell in love with not only producing fashion shows and wardrobe styling even more, but she fell in love with producing art shows, film showcases, and music productions. It allowed her to be even more creative as these events were based around local emerging artists of all kinds. She was motivated to make sure that all her artists were seen and heard. She won many awards based on those events like Director of the Month twices, Most Improved Market, as well as Best Quality.

After residing in Miami for 3 years, she moved back to her roots of Minneapolis where she went into Venue Management for almost a year. During that time, she worked with weddings, silent autions, banquets, and more.

At 29 with her entrepreneurial mindset, her knowledge of the event industry in many different categories as well as her network, she decided that she needed to utilize them and that's when MH Event Productions & Consulting was born on March 6th, 2016!

She is excited for this journey; "I just want to bring enjoyment to people whether they're a bride of mine or just an attendee of one of my events. I want to create 1 community and support the local arts. And lastly, I just want to keep being creative!"
