Miami Television News is Miami University’s only student run news show. Miami Television News is a news show that can be watched on MUTV Channel 15. Students work collaboratively to research, report, and produce news packages on campus and local Oxford news. MTN encourages all students interested in journalism, television, and studio production to get involved. MTN gives students hands on experience with studio production and field reporting. Students have the opportunity to gain knowledge about how to operate professional newsroom systems and studio equipment. MTN prepares students with these skills so they may enter the professional environment with quality television and broadcasting experiences. MTN offers students the flexibility to be creative and bring new ideas that might better the show. Miami Television News currently includes features such as MU Sports Short, MU Young Professionals, MU Hawks Spot, MU Cribs, and MU Word on the Street.
