BSAA is the first multicultural organization on campus. BSAA was formed by the African American students of Miami University to increase Black representation on campus for the purpose of bettering the conditions of Black students.
BSAA hosts social, professional development, and advocacy events throughout the whole year such as the annual Homecoming Dance, Black Community Meetings, Highlighter Fundraising Party, Voices of Color, and the end of the year Community Block Party. This past year, BSAA also played a large role in the "Trayvon Martin March" to raise awareness for this tragic event.
BSAA members are diverse. They belong to many other student organizations including greek organizations, singing groups, club sports and religious organizations as well.
