Miami University Geography Department

The Department of Geography at Miami was founded in 1906. Today our faculty and students explore cutting-edge issues like urbanization, globalization, and environmental change. We prepare our undergraduate majors in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning for employment, graduate school, travel, and life. Alumni from our small but focused M.A. program succeed in professional and academic careers. Our faculty are active researchers in global development and politics, urbanization and planning, and human-environment relationships, among others.
