About The Class

Our Personal Protection in the Home Course satisfies the NRA requirements to obtain a Michigan Concealed Pistol License. The class is $95 per person and will be held in the comfort and convenience of your home. You will receive a student packet from the NRA valued at $20. In class we will cover:

-How to safely store, use and handle firearms
-Ammunition selection
-The fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and different positions
-Firearm selection
-How to avoid confrontation and controlling a violent encounter
-How to make your home safer
-Holsters and carry methods
-Laws regarding a CPL in Michigan


Because the class is going to take place at your home, we ask that you provide a safe place to do the range activities. If this is not possible, arrangements can be made.

Things you will need for the class:

-Handgun
-Minimum 98 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
-Eye and ear protection
-If you do not have your own gun, a Ruger .22 pistol can be rented for $25, including ammo.
