Michigan Great Lakes International Draft Horse Show and Pull

The Michigan Great Lakes International Draft Horse Show and Pull is the largest annual draft horse and mule competition of its kind in North America. This mid-October event in East Lansing, Michigan hosts the cream of the crop from four of today's largest draft horse breeds: Belgians, Clydesdales, Percherons and Shires. In addition, featured mule classes, plowing matches, field events, horse pulls, and obstacle course competitions round out the jam-packed show schedule. Without a doubt, there is something for everyone at this show.

The four-day show schedule begins with mule halter classes on Thursday morning and finishes up with the breathtaking Classic Series Six-Horse Hitch class on Sunday afternoon. In between there will be numerous opportunities for you to enjoy halter classes, hitch classes, plowing contests, horse pulling contests and obstacle course events. Numerous classes for youth exhibitors are also featured at this show in our attempt to generate interest and pave the way for the future caretakers of the heavy horse industry.
