Dr. Chasen performs consultation and surgery on medical conditions involving the skin, trachea, esophagus, endocrine system, stomach (to include bariatric surgery), small intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, adrenal glands, spleen, abdominal wall (hernia), colon and rectum. All surgical and endoscopic procedures are performed by Dr. Chasen. Dr. Chasen has 21 years of experience as a surgeon, and performs more than 500 cases annually, to include emergency and routine care. Some of our patients are very healthy and need only routine care while others may be severely injured, or suffer from a serious medical conditions, such as cancer, requiring more extensive care.
We provide care in the office, emergency room, hospital wards, intensive care units, operating room, and endoscopy suits. Inpatient surgery is done at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Outpatient procedures are performed at the Aloha Surgery Center and at Dr. Chasen’s Wailuku office.
Our Wailuku office staff consists of our Practice Administrator and Cancer and Bariatric care coordinator (Chelsea), front office manager and surgery scheduler (Joy), and our registered dietician (Fiona).
