Dr. Gutta is one of the experienced surgeons in West Texas providing most comprehensive Oral & Facial Surgical procedures in the head and neck area. Dr. Gutta completed a highly competitive training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of the top training programs in the country. During his residency training, he also completed a Master's Degree with a fellowship grant from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Gutta served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, the University of Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Dr. Gutta trained several surgeons as part of his academic appointment. He is a regularly invited guest speaker at the annual meeting of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Gutta maintains a strong interest in educating other doctors through his numerous scientific publications and invited lectures around the world. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Gutta is also a peer nominated fellow of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, a nomination of less than 200 surgeons among the 9000+ maxillofacial surgeons in the country. He is also a faculty member of AO North America, an organization involved in training plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, and Maxillofacial surgeons.
He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Gutta practices full scope of Oral and Facial Surgery, with interests in Rhinoplasty (nose job), Facial Cosmetic Surgeries, Sleep Apnea and Facial Deformities. He also offers a wide range of treatments, including extractions, implants, cosmetic, and jaw reconstructive procedures.
