Miel Restaurant is located in the historic Johnson's Meat Market building in Sylvan Park, Nashville.
In 2007, architects Matt & Cheryl Nitch were hired to design an addition to the market that preserved its 1940's character. The result is a restaurant that now seats 62 and 20 on the patio. High ceilings and windows surrounded by garden features give the interior a spacious, organic feel. Two dining rooms are flanked by the benches from the old Franklin Courthouse and "Bling Fish" series paintings by Nashville artist Herb Williams adorn the walls. An open kitchen allows guests to experience liveliness in the historic building or the main dining room offers seating well suited for quiet conversation.
