Milford Catholic Elementary School

Catholic education has been an integral part of the town of Milford for over 125 years. St. Mary’s Grammar School and Sacred Heart Elementary School merged in 1975 and became Milford Catholic Elementary School. Although the school is located at Sacred Heart Church it is a ministry of both parishes.

The goal of Milford Catholic is to educate students in a loving, caring and supportive environment where God’s love is prevalent. Christ is our model and the reason we embrace Christian values and accept challenges as we, together with parents, educate the whole child. Class sizes are small and discipline is consistent, loving and Christian. Students are challenged to make good choices and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Prayer is an integral part of the development of each school member. Three times each week the faculty gathers and takes turns leading staff prayer. Each school day begins with prayer and reflection. Each day ends with a blessing. Prayer services for faculty, staff, students and families are celebrated throughout the year. Symbols of our Catholic faith are visible in the classrooms and the hallways.
