Milwaukee Excellence

As a seamless 6th through 12th grade school, Milwaukee Excellence has the ability to create a unique educational program built on a culture of joy, community, and college preparatory academics.

In response to this need, our educational philosophy is built on the following seven key beliefs:
1. Literacy and math are foundational to all learning.
2. Strong character education is essential for success in college and a life of opportunity.
3. Highly-skilled teachers that care about the growth of every student are needed to produce dramatic results in student achievement.
4. A joyful and respectful culture is the foundation for a strong learning environment.
5. A longer school day helps close the achievement gap for at-risk students.
6. A rigorous college preparatory education is the right of all students.
7. Our families and community partners are critical for success.

The education students will have received at Milwaukee Excellence Middle School will have prepared them for the challenging ACT-aligned curriculum of our high school. Milwaukee Excellence High School students will graduate with four years of math, science, English, social studies, foreign language, and four core electives in areas that inspire them and speak to their unique interests.

Our graduates will carry with them character traits informed by our FIRST values of Focus, Integrity, Respect, Self-Determination, and Team, and they will be equipped with the scholarly habits necessary to navigate their personal lives while attending college. Our students will be prepared to capitalize on all that life has to offer.
