I know that unless you've worked in the industry, the word "eDiscovery" may mean nothing to you. So here's a crash course: When two companies get into legal disputes, they are required to save all their emails and other files related to the dispute. No matter where you work, you know that we generate A LOT of emails, so imagine having to pour through all the emails from all the people in your company. Wouldn't you want a better way??

We've worked in the Legal industry for a long time - and we are on a mission: To create the world's most people-centric legal software and make it affordable and available to anyone.

The eDiscovery software industry is a $20 billion dollar industry. That's a lot of money! As product managers and sales guys at software vendors for close to 20 years, we've seen and learned a lot. We know that schools and non-profits can't afford eDiscovery software because it's just so expensive. And that's just sad.

So we decided to start MindFaction based on the following principles:

All organizations should have access to the tools they need
Solve the problems that the expensive guys don't solve
Be a partner, not a vendor
These three principles have guided us through the process of putting it on paper, but that's not enough. We need UX/UI designers to translate our thoughts to paper. We need developers to build it. We need employees and we need them now!

This Kickstarter campaign will pay for the UX/UI design and we plan to try to stretch it to include a prototype that we can use for market research.

We intend to have two additional rounds - one round to hire a team of developers and one round to sustain a year of salaries and expenses as we roll our product out to the market.

They aren't interested in getting rich - they'd just be happy to pay their bills while making a difference. That's all it boils down to.

Risks and challenges

The risk is that we don't get funded. We've quit our jobs to do this because we believe it in. Now we need people to believe in us.

We know the industry inside and out and have spent our careers making our companies profitable while pricing ourselves out of a market for non-profits, schools, and other publicly supported entities and we've had enough.

There's no question that we can bring this project to life - we just need the proper support.
