The Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field at Dan Kinney Park is a collaborative project funded by community donors, grants and a portion of the Greene county-widy Parks tax.
This field makes it possible for children with physical and mental disabilities to achieve their dream-to play ball. These children get a reprieve from their daily challenges as soon as they step or roll out onto the ball field.
The Miracle league field is a specially equipped, custom designed field with a cushioned synthetic turf that allows children in wheel chairs and walkers to glide unrestricted without fear of injury. This is a level playing field where children with disabilities can hit, run, catch and play ball.
In addition to our numerous commuity donors and sponsors this project is supported by Rotary Club of Springfield North and Community Foundation Of The Ozarks. It is with great community support and excitement that we are able to bring you the Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field.
