Mission Point Lighthouse

Mission Point Lighthouse - Open May-Oct. daily 10am-5pm, weekends in NOV., see website VISITOR INFO tab (click on it) for details. Do the climb (37 steps) for $4 ages 13+ and $2 ages 6-12. This lighthouse operates under the supervision of Peninsula Township, with the assistance of the non-profit group Mission Point Lighhouse Friends. This lighthouse is a Michigan visitor favorite as well as a favorite sight for locals. Daily, visitors hike the park trails, walk the beach and enjoy the views. If you are interested in having a beach wedding in front of the lighthouse, you are not alone. Many visitors have had their wedding ceremonies on the park property. Any ceremony must be brief and must not be a large event. No rows of chairs and no tents are allowed for camping or events. The beach is public property and is used by residents, pets, and visitors of all ages. See the keeper program information at the website.
