The MIT School of Engineering currently offers four free-of-charge enrichment programs through the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP) at critical junctures in the pre-college academic pipeline. These programs are aimed at generating interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Our primary mission is to diversify the science and engineering community by serving students from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds and empowering these students to develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in technical fields. We provide participants with an engaging, hands-on curriculum that strengthens their foundational math, science and technological skills; a challenging learning environment with high expectations; and access to positive role models. With exposure to compelling content and the world-class resources at MIT, we are preparing students for careers in the technical fields.
