The oldest attraction at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, the 7.5-acre Mizumoto Japanese Stroll garden was built in 1985 and includes a koi lake, moon bridge, meditation garden, tea house, traditional Japanese garden landscaping and a 7-ton Alaskan Jade stone. The garden is home to the Springfield Sister Cities Association's Japanese Fall Festival.

Professional photography in the garden requires an annual photo pass ($150) or a daily photo pass ($25) available at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center, 417-891-1515

Gardens are maintained by the Friends of the Garden and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Gardens are supported by the Springfield Sister Cities Association.
