Every photograph has a story behind it, a memory, an emotion, a special place in time.



When I look at pictures...



Of my husband and I on our wedding day, it takes me back... to when we were just kids making the biggest (and best) decision of our lives. Then, at the ripe old age of 19 and my husband 21, we had no idea what we were doing... we just knew, that whatever we did, we wanted to be together.



Of my maternity photos, not only is it motivating to know that I FINALLY lost that “baby weight” but how great my God is - The creator of love and life... precious life.



Of my children, it reminds me how valuable time is and how fast they change. The cute things they used to say or funny faces that would brighten up my day.



If I didn’t have those photographs, there would be so many things I would just forget. With the hustle and bustle of life and being pulled in every direction, it’s hard to keep up with today, let alone trying to remember all those past events that got me where I am today. Thank goodness for photography.



How I got started



Well, you hear the same ole, same ole – “ever since I was little I loved photography”. I never really thought I was that way, until a few weeks ago. My mom found some SUPER old VHS video of us kids.... unfortunately, I wasn’t in many of them as I was the one recording everyone.



So... with that being said, I have been behind a camera for as long as I can remember.



I got my real start at The Heartland Wedding Chapel and Lily Barn in Townsend, TN. I had the honor of being promoted to sales and wedding photographer, with the support and encouragement of my mom and Janice (the owner). In the first year, I photographed almost 200 weddings – talk about getting some practice!



From there I went to Middlebrook Gardens in Knoxville as Sales & Catering Manager and Photographer. In the 2 ½ years at Middlebrook, I again photographed close to 200 weddings. Wanting to branch out on my own, I knew I couldn’t keep working the “wedding schedule” of late nights and weekends. So, I transitioned into Hotel Sales and started Mobley Photography – I’ve been doing it ever since.



Mobley Photography has been my “business baby” since 2008. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings all over the southeast – Biltmore, Crossville, Nashville, Knoxville, Maryville, Tellico, Lexington... and the list goes on and on.



People often ask how many weddings I have photographed... honestly, I’ve lost count. So my answer is – over 300.



When I had children of my own – my photography started to expand to Children, Maternity, Newborn and Family. I found an area of photography that I love as much as photographing weddings. I hope to continue to build my business and always find more ways to share my passion with others.
