Momma Bakes Cakes

Welcome! I am a wife, mom, and former kindergarten teacher in Santa Rosa County.

I have loved making and decorating cakes for years and really began to get serious about it when my oldest son turned one. I wanted to make his first birthday cake and began to learn about decorating cakes. So for the last eight years I have tried to learn as much as I could about designing and decorating cakes.

About two years ago, I really began to look into starting my own business. While discussing a possible name for my business with my husband, my oldest son, said, "How about my momma bakes cakes?" So that's how it started. God saw fit that the state of Florida would pass a new law to allow home baking businesses through the Cottage Food Law and the day before my birthday this year, our governor signed it into action. Momma Bakes Cakes was opened July 1st, 2011!
