Mon Valley School

Mon Valley School is one of three special education schools operated by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. We serve students with disabilities from Allegheny and surrounding counties, and pride ourselves in providing a high-quality, well-rounded education.
We are dedicated to the academic, social, and vocational development of students with disabilities. Programs are designed to meet each student's unique needs through individualized and adapted curriculum, community partnerships and communications training. We provide a safe, secure, yet challenging environment that builds critical skills that support a successful student to adult life transition. Our caring staff of educators provide a safe, secure and challenging enviornment so students can learn to be functional and independent members of their communities.
