Monet's Baskets & Beyond

Monet's Baskets & Beyond started as a Home Business in 2015 shortly after I gave birth to my son. I never thought in a million years that I be interested in arts and crafts. Growing up I would always watch my mother create many things for our church but not once did I ever think I'd start my own path to creating.

My business name is derived from my middle name and since Monet was an artiest it was befitting and though at the time I didn't know it, I've added several pieces to my business since the day I started so "Beyond" is all inclusive.

I began my small business as a gift basket creator and quickly I loved making candy bouquets.

In 2012, the stress of working in an office where I was the only HR person for over 300 employees was weighing heavy on me. God starting leading me to sales and more sales, where eventually I had items to make hair bows, homecoming mums and wreaths.

The time finally came and I was able to leave that 9 to 5 and was blessed to open my first store front business. I was able to run my business fulltime, until life changes happened, I was faced with divorce from my 1st husband and my dream was suddenly changed.

I had to close my store front and find a fulltime job to support my two children, but refused to give up on my dream to own my own business.

Though I closed my store, I decided that wasn't the end of Monet's Baskets & Beyond. I am blessed with two awesome children and a very loving husband that support me and my business. My son is a creative hand in alot of what I do as he has that creative side as well, so he tends to be my eyes at times.

I pray one day my story inspires someone else to step out on faith and live their dream as well.
