The district covers 35 square miles, 9 in Marion County and 24 in Clackamas County. The first station was built in 1940 and housed the first fire vehicle a Studebaker Club Coach which was purchased in 1932 for a hefty sum of $51.00. The station later housed engine 985, water tender 989 and rescue 983. The second station was built in 1975 at a site located at 32031 S Kropf Rd. This station houses engine 995, water tender 998 and rescue 993. In 1992 the Monitor station suffered severe damage following the spring break quake and had to be removed.
