Monmouth Zen Circle

Monmouth Zen Circle/Compassion Ocean Sangha, is a friendly group in the Soto Zen tradition of Shunryu Suzuki. We meet on regularly on Saturday mornings for sitting meditation (zazen) and walking meditation (kinhin). There is no cost for this, but a $5 donation is suggested. If you cannot give, please come anyway and give when you can.

On the first weekend of every month, Soto Zen Priest John Kotatsu Bailes visits us for an Zazenkai. We begin on Friday evening siting Zazen from 7-9pm, then continue on Saturday at 10:00am and conclude at approximately 4:00pm. We break for lunch, and some of us may have dinner together at the end of the day. Feel free to come for all or part of the day. In view of the fact that Sensei incurs expenses to come down from Boston, a donation to help out with expenses, though optional, is encouraged and appreciated.
