The Monroe Township began saving lives and extinguishing fires in 1975. There have been several changes since that time, but one thing remains we are here to help those in need within our community.
In the last 10 years we have purchased 2 new Engines, 2 new grass trucks and a squad as well as cutters and spreaders with allow us quicker access to patients in the event of an accident. All the the new apparatus allow us to use the newest advances within the fire service to have saves lives.
The Monroe Sirens assist with fundraising for the department with Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, hoagie sales through out the year, yearly Swiss Steak Dinner, Breakfast with Santa and cookie sales.
