MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL IN MONTANA Montana Baseball has been selected by Major League Baseball to be a one-of-a-kind rural pilot project for their existing Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program. Coined the “Rural Baseball Initiative”, this first-ever pilot program follows Major League Baseball's existing RBI’s mission of, “revitalizing baseball with under served kids and under served communities”. Major League Baseball recognizes that rural, as well as inner city youth are subject to a variety of environments that pose obstacles in playing youth baseball. By creating this exclusive rural pilot RBI program with Montana Baseball, Major League Baseball is providing financial and administrative support to help Montana Baseball grow fundamentally sound and keep more kids playing baseball. The Montana Baseball organization follows the standards set by baseball’s national governing body, USA Baseball.
