Education in 2007, Montessori Learning Centre has been a premier Montessori school since its establishment in 1974. Serving approximately 65 children ages 2.8 to 6 years in an intimate setting, MLC offers programs designed to promote the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of each child in our care.
Following the Montessori philosophy, the children at MLC enjoy a stimulating academic environment which allows for active and independent learning at each child’s own pace. Mixed-age classrooms provide a rich interchange between peers and expand learning opportunities. Hands-on materials designed specifically to promote “learning by doing” fill the classrooms and each child is encouraged to pursue and discover his own interests while meeting academic goals.
In addition, Montessori Learning Centre offers Montessori Before Care beginning at 7:30 a.m., and After school care until 6:00 p.m. The Before and After Care programs are an extension of our Montessori classrooms and are administered by degreed staff.
