Moore's Music Emporium, Inc. was founded September 6, 1986. Pursuing a childhood dream, Ed Moore along with his wife Christy, opened a small retail business consisting mostly of records and tapes, and a few instruments - some of which he brought from home.

Introducing ourselves to the exhibitors of the music products industry, with the exciting enthusiasm and "push to achieve" methods we possess, it took less than 6 years to advance to one of the largest guitar and combo stores in Ohio. Since that time, when there were 12 music stores in the valley, we have excelled to become one of two remaining stores in the tri-state area. With all the market changes over the last 30 years we have stayed on top in the area and remain to be the musicians choice for sales, service, knowledge and a great purchasing environment. This has been a huge boost in our store in a market that has given us access to hundreds of manufacturers carrying over a million different products. All available to the aspiring musician to craft your individual style and music.

Our rapid and steady growth necessitated the purchase of our two-story building, with many expansions and additions, such as our guitar repair shop,Pro sound and video Installation department, band instrument repair shop, teaching studios for all instruments and vocal, office, and seminar room. Since 1986, five expansions have increased our building's size from 1,200 to 9,800 square feet.

This success of our company is directly attributable to Ed Moore's vision, foresight and belief that "Nothing has ever been created that can replace good people." Coupled with our philosophy that all employees should be treated fairly and have the opportunity to advance, we have surrounded ourselves with the most capable people in our industry. In an industry where changes are the norm rather than the exception, the Moore family has exceeded the goals of the past, anticipated the changes of today, and welcome the challenges and opportunities of the future.
