Moorestown High School produces two full-scale theatrical works every school year.
The Fall Play, performed at the end of October, seeks to expose students and audiences to classic non-musical works by playwrights such as William Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Neil Simon, and Michael Frayn. Recent shows include "The Comedy of Errors," "The Diary of Anne Frank," "Noises Off," and "The Importance of Being Earnest."
The Spring Musical, performed at the beginning of March, is a full-scale Broadway musical, complete with a live student orchestra. Recent shows include classics like "Anything Goes" and "42nd Street," as well as newer favorites like "Les Miserables," "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," and "Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida."
Students are able to work in the areas of acting, stage management, set construction, scenic painting, lighting, sound, costumes, music, publicity, program layout, graphic design, and photography.
