Mordecai Historic Park is the oldest home in Raleigh, N.C. on it's original foundation and was the seat of one of the largest plantations in Wake County. The park contains the Mordecai plantation house, Allen Kitchen, Ellen Mordecai Garden, the birthplace of Andrew Johnson, 17th president, the Badger-Iredell Law Office, St. Marks Chapel, and other out buildings. We also offer trolley tours from March through December. Admission is charged for both house and trolley tours. Please call for more information.
