In our world girls are exposed to millions of media messages telling them they aren’t pretty enough, skinny enough, or popular enough. If they speak their minds they are “bossy”, or if they are smart boys won’t like them. We want them to know they are MORE than enough.

More Than Cheer focuses on helping students develop leadership skills, self esteem, self confidence, and increase their athletic ability through the sports of cheerleading and dance.

Contrary to the image of the stereotypical cheerleader our students are kind, helpful, smart, and strong! We are not only touching the lives of the students we serve, we are changing the cultures of schools and communities by shaping the young ladies who have traditionally been views as the leaders of their peers.

The company began in 2008 with private cheerleading coaching and expanded over the past several years to providing recreational cheerleading and dance programs to all ages. More Than Cheer offers camps, classes, and coaching for kids throughout Virginia and Maryland starting in kindergarten with our after school enrichment programs all the way through to our 18 and over semi professional teams. We also collaborate with gyms, schools, and athletic associations to bring higher quality cheer and dance instruction to their participants.
