Mossy Creek Retrievers

Mossy Creek Retrievers is a Veteran owned family kennel operating in the Ohio River Valley Basin Area of Burlington, Kentucky. We are a training facility and a breeder of Labrador Retriever gun dogs. We offer training services in dog obedience (all breeds), gun dog training (retriever breeds), and AKC/HRC hunt tests (retriever breeds). We have multiple training sites in the Northern Kentucky Area with access to over 260 acres of various terrain, a 5 acre lake, and a couple of working ponds to train on. We spend the majority of our days using these locations to provide our dogs with the most realistic hunting atmospheres possible.


Mossy Creek Retrievers was born out of the love and passion for the retrieving gun dog and its companionship to the hunter. Our mission is to preserve the true gun dog sport through selective breeding and training of Labrador Retrievers. We desire to produce top bloodlines by selecting dogs out of the best known retrievers from various locations within the United States. Our ultimate goal is to maintain a high standard breeding program that results in dogs that are free from health problems, full of drive, and love to hunt. All "Mossy Dogs" arrive to their owners updated on their shots, vet checked, and come with a 26 month health clearance on their eyes, hips, and elbows.


All dogs trained at Mossy Creek Retrievers, will be treated as if they are part of the family. This is because we only train a small amount of dogs at one time. We strive for excellence at our kennel by emphasizing quality not quantity. We will provide the guidance, instruction, and tools your canine partner needs to learn in order to understand their role in your life.
