Motif Spa

Motif Spa is a "keep-your-clothes-on" foot & full-body massage salon located near Hwy 85 & Almaden Expressway in San Jose, CA. We opened March 5th with a fantastic turnout!

We understand that not everyone likes to undress to receive therapeutic massage, and we believe there is no need for massage to be expensive.

Our menu is simple: 30-min foot massage, 60-min. foot & body combo, and 30- and 60-minute traditional table massages. We can add time, too, if you'd like!

For the Foot & Body Combo, clients are treated first to a warm foot soak while sitting in one of our 13 fully-reclining chairs as our certified therapists administer a head, neck, shoulder, & arm massage. This is followed by our signature foot massage. The client then flips over and receives a full back and leg massage.

Traditional massage tables are available for those who prefer a traditional massage without the foot soak.

Our 30-minute Foot Massage includes a foot soak while your head, neck & shoulders are massaged for a few minutes - then it's all about the feet.

Our therapists are trained in reflexology and tu nai massage techniques, but at Motif, the client will receive a mix of these and other styles including Shiatsu.

Although reflexology is sometimes called foot massage, it is more than simple foot massage. Reflexology involves applying pressure to certain points on the foot that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Reflexology is very relaxing, especially for people who stand on their feet all day or just have tired, achy feet.

Even though Tui Na is similar to acupuncture because it works to balance the chi, needles are never used in this hands-on treatment. The masseuse will apply their hands and massage key points on the clients body to unblock the meridians, and to encourage the free flow of energy throughout the body.

For additional piece of mind, all of our towels are washed after each use.

We do take appointments, but walk-ins are expected 7 days of the week, from 10am -10pm. We will also accommodate private parties for personal and business use. Please speak to our front desk to set up your special occasion appointments.

Prices are as follows: 30 min. foot massage ~ $12; 60 min. foot & body combo ~ $20; 30 min. table massage ~ $25; 60 min. table massage ~ $40. And, if you buy 5, you'll get one massage free! Tips are customary and encouraged as they are not included in our low prices.

We are asked often, "How much should I tip? The traditional 15-20% doesn't seem to be enough." We understand this dilemma, as we the owners, asked the very same thing when we began getting massages at other similar facilities. We just asked each other, "How did it compare to a traditional "clothes-off" massage?" Our answers were, "the same, if not better!" So we tip according to that price range. If my massage was the same or better than a typical one-hour massage at a traditional salon ($80), I would tip 15-20% of the traditional massage price. But that private decision, ultimately, lies with you. We have tip envelopes for your discretion.
