Mount Pleasant Baptist Church DC

MPBC was founded in 1918 and has been blessed to have only three pastors. Currently, Pastor, Reverend Terry D. Streeter has been our leader since November 1989.

During the past years we have experienced tremendous growth, both spiritually and numerically. Under Pastor Streeter's leadership we have been transformed into a multi-ministry, multi-staffed Church. We are committed to a Biblical ministry of Evangelism, Discipleship, Christian Education, Worship, and The Bible--God's Word.

We take seriously God's command to go and preach the Gospel to all, helping them to grow into productive disciples for Christ. We have established comprehensive ministries to meet the varying spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of our members. These ministries come directly from the Word of God, which we believe is our only hope.

The Bible is real to us and is our instruction book for The Christian Life. Our leaders work hard to make disciples of our members and stress Christian education so that all are equipped to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God. We worship God in Spirit and in Truth!
