Mountain Bike Lafayette Is The Off Road Division Of Bike Lafayette.
Mountain Bike Lafayette was formed in 2012 in order to create the first true singletrack off-road bike trails for the Lafayette, Louisiana area. The first set of trails were opened to the public in February of 2013 at Acadiana Park and consisted of a modest half-mile loop built by a handful of biking enthusiasts.
Today, the Acadiana Park Mountain Bike Trails boasts 3.7 miles of winding and technical singletrack, complete with quick descents, challenging climbs, and plenty of fast and flowing trails through a scenic section of wood in the heart of Cajun Country. The trail system is updated regularly with new and challenging features and is maintained entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Our Primary Goal Is Maintaining And Promoting Mountain Biking In The Lafayette Area, Specifically But Not Limited To The Mountain Bike Trails At Acadiania Park.
Mountain Bike Lafayette Has A Board Of Directors That Meet Every Month. We Have Monthly Trail Maintenance Days On The Third Saturday Of Every Month (Volunteers Welcome).
Mountain Bike Lafayette Works Directly With The City Through Parks And Recreation To Maintain Our Local Mountain Bike Trails.
