More about Mountain Creek Range

MCR is a 15,000 sq. ft. INDOOR climate controlled facility. There are two shooting bays with 10 lanes each. The lanes are 25 meters (82 feet) from shooter to target. Gun rentals and sales, including class 3 firearms, will be available onsite. The facility has two classrooms where a variety of firearms classes (NRA, CHL, etc.) will be held. Vending machines are also available at the location.

Mountain Creek Range is directly founded, staffed and organized by individuals with over 100 years of experience in the firearms world of today. Our mission is to provide a world class firearms shooting facility to the public, law enforcement agencies and specific Federal departments for the purpose of training, personal defense and promote the growing sport of shooting. We are a membership based shooting range and seek through solid quality control measures individuals of good character wishing to enhance their marksmanship and safe firearm handling skills. In order to accomplish this, we apply focus of effort in our business towards education. We offer a suite of training courses that promote the sport of shooting, public safety, and the right of individual self defense.

As with any shooting sport, safety is our priority. Our facility is designed and constructed to ensure the best environment for our members. Our member’s level of autonomy at the facility is directly related to their level of training and experience validated by the Range Safety Officers (RSO) staff on initial assessment. Novice individuals receive direct oversight by certified Range Safety Officers until knowledge and skill levels are enhanced by the member through education and range experience. Individuals and activities on the facility property are video monitored throughout for training and security purposes.

The range design is that of closed projectile lanes and bays with a deceleration material trap that leaves the projectiles in near pristine condition and there is a double barrier of reinforced concrete walls to protect from any unintended discharges.

Though we have our own in house certified instructors, we welcome independent certified instructors to utilize our facility. We seek to provide services that teach safety with educational programs for the beginner up to the expert. We believe confidence in your capability to handle firearms safely is built through education and repetition.

In conclusion, we are an easy access site. Located just off State Highway 195 on Mountain Creek Road, just a short drive south from the city center of Killeen Texas. Hope to see you soon!
