MPE Music Academy

Ma Petite Étoile Music Academy has been years in the making and is a program structured to enable every student to succeed.

Weekly private lessons focus on the individual students technique, musical expression and repertoire. This is the time for the teacher to give one on one instruction which will be a crucial part of the students musical growth.

Attending group classes will teach the students important aspects of music theory, interpretation, and history. This is also the time to have fun playing with other students, learn bonus repertoire, and practice performing as a group. Group classes are also when we get to do fun musical games like "spider races", "the skipping scale" and "compose me, compose me"!

Pull out your cowboy hat and polish those boots for the Fiddle class! Consistently a student favorite and recital crowd pleaser is the art of Fiddling. Tunes from Ireland, Sweden and the Appalachians to the Wild West will have your toes tappin' and your hands clappin'!

Students that show special aptitude and dedication to their instrument will be selected each year to take part in one of two elite ensemble groups. As participants they will have bonus performance opportunities and will be a representative of MPE.

Sounds great right? But how are you going to choose between all the options? Here's the best part! You don't need too! MPE is structured so when you are a student, every resource at the Academy is at your disposal. It's like being at violin camp all year long!

Lets not forget our littlest stars! Beginners ages 2-5 have a special program just for them designed to create a solid musical foundation that will prepare them to enter the full program! And students who successfully complete the beginners program are automatically accepted into the Academy's full program without the need to audition!
