MSA Miracle On Main Street

Come downtown Amherst on the first Friday of December and kick off the holiday season with our Miracle on Main Street Parade. We begin at the Amherst Library and head straight down Park Ave through the historic downtown right to town hall. There is something for everyone in our parade including everyone's favorite Big Guy Santa Claus! Santa gets the crowd excited by lighting the big Christmas Tree up on the bandstand and joins the Choir in singing some carols with the community.
After the festivities at town hall are done come down to the Family Fun Center(255 Park Ave) and get photos with Santa, see the big train display, and all kinds of snacks and many of our retailers will be open late to help you with your holiday shopping.
