FACULTY BIOS
Eric Mullins Executive Director, Saxophone, Clarinet, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Theory, Composition. BFA, Jazz Studies, New School University. Eric started piano lessons at a young age and took up the saxophone at age 12. After high school, Eric spent a year studying music at the University of Louisville during which time he played in the music department's jazz band, backing up vocalist Kevin Mahogany and jazz legend Clark Terry. In 1999, he joined the Bobby “Blue” Bland band and spent the next year and and a half playing the blues across North America in nightclubs and at festivals like the Monterey Jazz Festival, The Chicago Blues Festival, and the Essence Festival in New Orleans. In 2000 he toured the U.K. with Bobby “Blue” Bland and Van Morrison. In 2003, Eric graduated with a B.F.A. from The New School in New York City, having studied closely with many teachers such as legendary jazz bassist Reggie Workman and Saturday Night Live percussionist Valerie Naranjo. He has performed at the University of Ghana in West Africa and in Tokyo, Japan with the Gospel Voices of Memphis. Eric has taught in the Memphis City Schools, Florida's Pasco County Schools, and currently teaches at Genesis Preparatory School where he has developed a band, jazz band, and diverse instrumental music program. In 2007 Eric and his wife Marina founded Mullins Music, continuing to follow their passion for music and striving to pass it on to future generations.

Marina Mullins Artistic Director, Piano, Keyboards. BA, Theology & Music, Trinity College of Florida. Marina was born in Durban, South Africa. She grew up listening to her Mom play piano. She started playing herself at about four and began lessons at the age of six. Throughout her high school years she was a frequent performer in church. After high school she continued her study of music at the University of Natal in Durban where she honed her skills as a jazz pianist and drummer. She performed as a solo jazz pianist at local venues. In Durban, she taught college level music theory and piano at POPS Ministries. At the age of 21 Marina moved, with her family, to Florida. In Florida she studied at the University of South Florida and at Trinity College. She was pianist at Palm Harbor Christian Center and later Riverside Fellowship. She taught private piano lessons for adults and children. Marina performed with Entheos music team from Trinity College. In Tennessee she taught college level music at the Visible School and later served as co-director of music and pianist for Memphis Christian Center and co-director of VIP Summer Music Camp. Marina, an accomplished jazz pianist, also performed in Memphis with jazz groups including Southern Lights and Kwest. Marina holds a B.A. in church music from Florida Theological Seminary and a B.A. in theology from Trinity College in Florida. Marina also taught music for five years at Dayspring Academy, a charter school for education and the arts. She and her husband, Eric, are co-founders and directors of Mullins Music located in New Port Richey, Florida.

Andrew Legg Guitar, Drum Set. Andrew is a Florida native whose passion for music has inspired him to teach others. Andrew attended Southeastern University where he studied Music Education. He has been involved in many bands, ranging in style from bluegrass to rock. He is also a private instructor specializing in drums, guitar, and bass guitar. Andrew welcomes any opportunity to share his talent and knowledge of music with anyone who is willing to learn.

Jennifer Smith Voice. BA., Trinity College of Florida. Jennifer has been singing since before she could talk. She grew up singing in school and church choirs and continued following her passion throughout her college career. Jennifer has a degree in music/vocal performance and has spent the last six years teaching in the school system as well as one on one voice technique. She instructs for a variety of styles from classical to modern contemporary. Her current musical involvement is leading worship at Unveiled Church, voice lessons, and performing with Blue Sky Jazz Band.
