More about The International Museum of World War II

The Museum is about 25 to 45 minutes from downtown Boston, depending on traffic. It is conveniently located near 3 Massachusetts highways: Route 9, Route 128 (95), and the Massachusetts Turnpike. It is 1.2 miles from Exit on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The Natick Mall is across the street.

Parking is free. There is public transportation to the center of Natick.

The Museum preserves, exhibits, and teaches the entire global story. It is the only museum in the world to do this. You see all the home fronts and all the battle fronts; all the countries and all the cultures.

There are more than 7,500 artifacts, letters, and documents on display and more than 500,000 pieces in the Archives. Everything is original from the Higgins landing craft, to propaganda posters, to Enigma machines, to clandestine radios used by the Resistance, to the striped clothing worn in concentration camps, to the contents of a soldier's backpack. Durable artifacts can be touched and handled.

We tell the stories of leaders and ordinary citizens. Everywhere there is evidence of values. The clash of values is palpable. The winning ones are inspiring.

The war changed everything, from lives, to borders, to alliances, to technology, to ideas, to ideologies. We are different because of the war, which is still relevant today.
