Welcome to our new name, MUSIC THEATER WORKS! We're a resident professional nonprofit theater in Evanston, Illinois, specializing in music theater. We're excited to bring you the same great, "downtown quality" works we've had since our founding in 1980 as LIGHT OPERA WORKS. We've presented more than 107 productions on our 1,000-seat Main Stage at Cahn Auditorium, concerts at Nichols Concert Hall, and youth and children's programs. Our beautiful rehearsal center is available for events, classes, and rehearsals.
