Musical Chordination

Musical Chordination is an interactive musical experience. It is a series of workshops, which are exciting, educational, healing, and transformative. Our goal with every workshop is to provide a space in which individuals from all walks of life can come together to express themselves, both musically and creatively, while learning how to communicate within a collaborative setting. Creativity is our compass always pointing down the path of self-discovery and fulfillment. We feel strongly that by showing others the power of creativity, as it flows from one individual to the next, it encourages enrichment in our lives and helps us to thrive.

There are no musical requirements for our workshops, although we appreciate a willingness to engage in the activities. Our workshops are always a symbiotic experience; though we are the facilitators, we are constantly learning from the others in the group. This system sets up a progressive platform for education, based on the principle of equality and the understanding that there is always more to learn from each other. Using our expertise we provide a musical foundation upon which the participants can build. From that foundation, we are able to constantly set the bar higher, lifting each other to new heights of skill and understanding.

With each workshop, we bring forth the intention for openness and acceptance. By carrying this intention, we step into the power of creation, providing fuel for uplifting experiences. Every session starts with a free flowing jam as a way of familiarizing the participants with communication in a musical context. We then dive into various activities that allow the members of the group to express themselves through their instruments.

There are many benefits gleaned from our musical interactions which are meant to be utilized in everyday life, making what we offer something far greater than a simple music workshop. Vibration is the fabric of life, it is the unifying factor that connects all that we perceive and allows it to be brought into form. So, our teachings emphasize the structural mechanics of our Universe and demonstrate these principals in a way that is easy to understand. Nature exists in a balanced state of improvisation and structure. By exploring spontaneity within the workshop, it allows us to easily move through new experiences and think on our feet, while the structural components of music such as composition and rhythm help us to be more organized in the ways we express ourselves. Music is a tool to connect our bodies and minds; when used effectively, more neural pathways are established to assist in integrating and accurately conveying our thoughts and emotions. From this understanding, we are then able to relate to our thoughts and emotions in a positive way, manifesting them into the physical experience through our creations. As we discover these components of ourselves, we are able to gain greater confidence and clarity with our unique creative ability, seeing that we are all an essential part of the whole. Cooperation inspires a sense of community and expands our perspective by interacting and creating as a unit. This blueprint for empowerment through creative expression ripples out, initiating positive change for every life we touch.
